Every autumn, Lincolnshire Police, along with colleagues across the country, join forces to tackle illegal hare coursing as part of the Operation Galileo. Coursers come into the area looking to make money from the bloodsport which attracts gamblers as it is streamed live on the internet.

A social media post states: “Officers on Operation Galileo patrols became aware of a vehicle stuck in the Donington.

“Officers attended and the occupants were not present, clearly enjoying their walk through a muddy field with dogs. Thanks to the caller for their assistance.

“If you would like to come and claim your vehicle and personal belongings back please attend Sleaford Police Station. You may wish to bring some legal representation.”

Lincolnshire police have confirmed that no arrests have been made and that enquiries are ongoing.
