Investigation ongoing into A16 crash at Cowbit which led to death of 28-year-old woman from Peterborough
Police are still investigating the cause of a fatal crash on the A16.
Officers have now confirmed that the victim of the incident — which occurred between Applegreen Services and Cowbit at 11.30pm on Friday night — was a 28-year-old woman from Peterborough.
The incident involved a blue Renault Twingo and a black BMW 325D M Sport.
The woman who died was driving the Twingo, while a man and woman who were in the BMW suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
The road was closed for several hours following the incident.
A force spokesman confirmed that no arrests have been made and that the ‘investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision remain ongoing’.
