Is this the end for Holbeach and Fenland Gymnastics Club?
The popular Holbeach and Fenland Gymnastics could close after nearly 40 years of training youngsters.
One of its former students, tumbler and ex Team GB star James Booth, visited the club last year to inspire the latest generation of gymnasts.
Club chairman Annette Facey wrote to parents and gymnasts to break the news that the rented club premises are going up for sale due to the "retirement of our landlords and the closure of their business".
She continued: "Following a meeting with the club's finance committee and senior coaches we feel this situation, along with some changes of coaches, family and career commitments, is steering us towards the end of an era.
"Many of the coaches and committee have been heavily involved with the club for over 20 years and we feel once the premises have been sold the club will draw to a natural close."
There is a meeting at the club in Lime Walk, Long Sutton, tonight (Wednesday) for parents and gymnasts.
In her letter, the chairman says the club will run as normal for the forseeable future" and continue to progress every gymnast.
* James Booth, from Lutton, was on a holiday from performances with Cirque du Soleil when he visited his old club in August 2017.
He said then: "I competed for H&F for five years and they developed me into a disciplined gymnast where I represented my county at the national championships."
The club was formed in 1980 in a school hall in Wyberton, moved to Holbeach Community Centre in 1983 and in 2006 to the sports hall at Peele Community College.
In March 2011, the club was once more looking for a new home and after 10 months of fundraising opened in Lime Walk, Long Sutton.
