Charlie Sauntson, 17, sets up CS Builds and Landscape offering handyman jobs in Spalding, Long Sutton and Pinchbeck
An entrepreneurial teenager is putting his skills to the test by setting up a business as a handyman.
Charlie Sauntson has launched CS Builds and Landscapes at the grand age of 17 and is offering services to do landscaping and odd jobs around the Spalding area.
He is also studying a BTEC in bricklaying at Boston College - and is making his prices a little cheaper until he is fully qualified so that people are able to afford services such as weeding or putting up a cabinet.
Although some of his family have office jobs, the Spalding youngster was inspired by his brother Archie who started out as a brickie and received an award for being the best in Lincolnshire.
Charlie said: “After I got my first customer and that feeling when I finished the job and how happy she was - it is a feeling that I like and I get customers coming back.
“I do landscaping and little jobs for people and once I am qualified I will go full time.
“Now I can drive, I can literally go anywhere.”
Charlie has a passion for the work that he does and providing good customer service and affordable prices.
But his ambitions do not just stop at bricklaying.
Charlie said: “I am thinking about doing is paying for a certificate in carpentry to get that experience.
“It is a good feeling to do a job and do it the proper way.
Charlie will be registering his business soon and in the meantime is available for handyman jobs.
He said: “I was doing my apprenticeship and people were putting their prices really high and I wanted to do it for a cheaper price and help people out.
“The job keeps me on my feet.
“I am a year into it and hopefully qualify this December.”
