South Lincs Foodservice organises mouthwatering Food Show at Springfields Events and Conference Centre, Spalding

A mouthwatering event featuring more than 70 food and drink suppliers takes place this week.

The Food Show, organised by South Lincs Foodservice which has bases in Sutterton and Boston, is being held at Springfields Events and Conference Centre, Spalding, on Wednesday (March 12) from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

With a new look and feel, the show’s aim is to bring catering professionals together to discover new products and flavours — and hopes to attract some 200 of its customers.

Simon Davison, managing director of South Lincs Foodservice, said: “It is much more than just a trade show.

“It is all about showcasing new products and opening up meaningful conversations with our key suppliers, as they’re ultimately the product experts.

“We’re creating an opportunity for our customers to step away from their businesses for the day, to come and see lots of new menu ideas all in one place, to try out new flavours and to put any problems or questions they might have straight to our team, or to the right supplier.”

South Lincs Foodservice supplies a mix of hospitality, education and healthcare customers across Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and into the east Midlands.

Event organisers will be encouraging potential new customers to research and try out new items.

Mr Davidson added: “At South Lincs Foodservice, we not only offer our customers a fantastic service and product range, but we also aspire to offer a partnership where we’re actively working together to help each other.

“The show will be a fantastic opportunity to do just that and bring real-life advice, ideas and cost-savings to our customers, through the product demonstrations at the event and the different people that they will be able to meet.

“We’re also keen to meet new, prospective customers at the event as well and our online registration is still open.”
