Spalding Town Tennis Club’s annual Mary Burgess Cup took place for junior players aged 11 and under at the courts in Holyrood Walk.

A club spokesman said: “It was a great opportunity for the youngest members of the club to showcase what they have been working on with the club’s coaching team.

The club held a summer open day on Sunday, July 21 with many attending enjoying and playing tennis.

Taster sessions at the free event allowed those interested in joining the club to find out more and the club welcomes all ages and abilities.

In September last year the club celebrated the recent installation of new LED floodlights which provide year-round tennis opportunities on their all-weather courts.
