‘It was nice to see how far the business has come!’ Pinchbeck-based personal trainer collects top award at glitzy bash
A personal trainer swapped tracksuit for lounge suit to collect a prestigious award.
Kieran James was in Leeds for the recent Best of the Best Programme’s glitzy bash.
There Kieran - who operates out of Pinchbeck’s Snap Fitness - collected the Personal Trainer of the Year award, an accolade he won for the second year running.
“We got to meet loads of people and the judges said how astounded they were for what I’d contributed towards the fitness industry,” said Kieran, who gambled money saved up for a house deposit on launching his business.
“It was nice to go there, relax, take that moment to reflect and see how far the business has come and see how humbling it is.”
The awards, which focus on the UK fitness industry, take into account trainers’ public personas and output on social media as well as the way they interact with clients.
After studying in Leeds, Kieran enjoyed how life had gone full circle for him, also taking the chance to meet with fellow award winners.
“Never would I have known it (the degree) would have flourished into what it is today… and more,” he added.
“I got to converse with different people while I was there, to see how they got to where they were.
“It was really rewarding to look through other people’s lenses, everyone walks their own journey and its lovely to see their rewards.
“It was nice to wear something different too, I haven’t worn a suit and tie in so long, so it was a night to remember.
“It makes m want to push even harder this year. Every year I always look for ways to develop.”
