Triple litter blitz in the Moultons
Volunteer litter pickers blitzed the Moultons in an autumn clean-up organised by the parish council.
The oddest item retrieved in the two-hour trawl was a "scarecrow type bird scarer" in Moulton Seas End, according to district and parish councillor Andrew Woolf.
Moulton and Moulton Chapel also benefited from the spruce-up.
Coun Woolf said: "Overall we collected in the region of 20 bags.
"It was mostly fast food chain wrappers, baby wipes and energy drink cans."
Moultons Parish Council hit the three villages with a spring clean earlier in the year, the first such event it had organised.
Coun Woolf said: "I remember in the spring one there were 30 odd vodka bottles that were retrieved but who knows how long they had been there?"
The autumn litter pick produced fewer filled bags than the one in the spring, despite more volunteers turning out and a wider area being covered.
Coun Woolf said he was pleased to see families turning out to litter-pick together.
He said it was nice to see that people of all ages care about their villages and want to see them tidy.
