In the mists of Boris Johnson's resignation, the country is left in wonder of what will transpire over the upcoming days, with some celebrating his departure as others feel they have been massively let down.
A number of South Holland people, who have been continued Conservative voters, say that they feel upset with the results of the recently resigned Prime Minister who had 'Let us all down'.
Sharon (42) said Johnson has 'let down the country' with his dealings with the pandemic. She hopes that the new Conservative leader will have a clearer understanding of what the people need after the recent years, and do what it takes to "clear the mess" following COVID-19 and the current cost of living crisis.
Rebecca (27) of Spalding, spoke of the feeling of deprivation. She stated that whoever fills Johnson's seat as Prime Minister will face "the same" curse of the role, of something which has become a cycle of leaders being abandoned by their fellow men and women.
While Audrey (65) who has been a consistent Conservative voter, said she would not vote for the party in a possible up-coming general election. "The trust has been broken" the departed supporter said, "we need a general election as soon as possible."
