Lane closure in Spalding’s High Street causes queues

A lane closure on a busy one-way town street has led to long tailbacks this morning.

Motorists have faced long waits along High Street in Spalding, with a lane shut in the lead up the lights at Church Street and High Bridge.

The morning rush hour traffic has been queued back as far as Albert Street.

The closure is linked to scaffolding works on the corner of Church Street and High Street. The licence for the works lasts from January 29 to February 25 — with works needed intermittently during that time.

The High Street footpath is also closed this morning.
