Language students rewarded
Winning students have been handed prizes at Spalding Grammar School after successfully completing a languages challenge.
The year 7 and 8 students were tasked with producing a languages album, enabling them to develop transferable skills and also gain a more in-depth cultural knowledge about one of the countries where their studied language is spoken.
This is an important aspect of the new Lower School curriculum and a vital part of the GCSE exam.
Head of Spanish Diana Taborda said: " Preparing the project is an exciting time for our students, as they enjoy discovering fascinating facts about those French, German or Spanish speaking countries. They also put into action their creative skills to present and show individuality in their project. We are just as proud of their work as they are."
The project concluded with a celebration of the students’ efforts in an assembly, where winners were announced and prizes handed out.
