Spalding trainer launches new clothing line

A personal trainer is flexing her muscles and growing her business to incorporate a new inclusive clothing line.

Spalding-based trainer Vaiva Sharman, of Heroes Gym, says it’s a dream come true to launch her own range of garments for men and women which are branded with her Viper – No Excuses logos.

Items available include jersey dresses, leggings, hoodies, shorts, vests and T-shirts and Vaiva says people can wear the versatile range for more than just going to the gym.

“It’s all casual, sporty, comfortable clothing, created for all shapes and sizes – I wanted it to be completely inclusive. For everyone wherever they are in their fitness journey.

“It’s been something I’ve been thinking about doing ever since I started my own personal training business.”

Vaiva initially had some T-shirts printed around the first lockdown and then couldn’t stop thinking about expanding her range to incorporate more styles.

“I thought about doing more stuff for the gym and then it snowballed from there really as now it’s for much more,” she says. “The idea behind it is about more than looking good on the outside, I want to help people feel good about themselves on the inside too, it’s all about promoting self-love and self-care.

“We’re all different shapes and sizes, different ages and I wanted to create something that anybody could wear and feel good about themselves in.”

Vaiva has teamed up with another business which has a catalogue of garments to choose from and has added her own branding and embroidery.

To help promote her new venture she’s been modelling the pieces herself supported by some of her personal training clients.

“I’m so excited about it, it really is a dream come true,” she added. “There are lots of different colours and – some more out there than others, while others are more subtle shades, plus some with smaller logos. Hopefully, something for everyone.”

As well as selling them in the gym and via social media Vaiva is also hoping to launch a website soon.

Vaiva began her own body transformation in 2015, when unhappy with her weight she set about getting fit and shedding some pounds. She went on to join a gym and was then encouraged to take up bodybuilding and decided she wanted to pursue a career as a personal trainer. She secured a couple of podium finishes in 2019 including second in the PCA British Finals, which gained her an invite to the world championship too.
