The first event takes place on Friday (November 11) at Springfields Peace Garden, beginning with a parade through the Mall at 10.30am to mark Armistice Day.

On Saturday, local cadets will place crosses to remember fallen soldiers at the cemetery, again beginning at 10.30am.

Sunday’s Remembrance service will begin in the town centre at 10.30am, before a parade and service at Ayscoughfee Gardens.

Plans are in place for Holbeach’s Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday.

“We have been working closely with the Holbeach Branch of the RBL and All Saints Church to mark this act of remembrance,” said the parish council’s vice-chairman Coun Sophie Hutchinson.

The parade will muster outside the Serviceman’s Club in Church street at 2pm and will set off at approximately 2.15pm, finishing at the war memorial ready for the wreath laying ceremony at 2.30pm.

All Saints church will be holding the service of remembrance after the wreath laying ceremony and all members of the community are welcome to attend.

The ex-serviceman’s club will also be open for refreshments.

An alternative parade in Holbeach, organised by veteran champion Harold Payne, will meet at Holbeach Community Centre, Fishpond Lane, at 10.15am.

It is planned to reach the High Street War Memorial at 10.30am ahead of an 11am service.

Those attending the Pinchbeck service can congregate at the village hall at 10.15am ahead of a service at St Mary’s at 10.30am, followed by wreath laying at the memorial ground.

At Long Sutton, prayers will be held at the War Memorial in the Market Place on Friday, starting at 10.40am.

The Remembrance Parade will be held on Sunday, beginning at 2.15pm, followed by a service in St Mary’s Church.

The Crowland Service of Remembrance will take place at the war Memorial on East Street on Sunday.

It will begin at 3pm.

Donington’s Remembrance Service will begin in the market place at 10.30am with a parade to the church. Anyone planning to attend just the church service is asked to be there for 10.50am.
