Letters to the Lincolnshire Free Press editor – October 20, 2020
Not a lot of thought went into project
Reading in last week’s Free Press about the bike rack installed in Spalding Sheep Market got me really confused.
I am all for fitness and encouraging better health for everyone, but if it is to promote cycling, why is the bike rack in the shape of a car?
When parking in Spalding is so hard to find anyway, why was the bike rack placed in a car parking space, when there is adequate space at the side of the public toilets in the Sheep Market, where there are bike stands already, not 10 metres away – and most of the bike racks that we already have around Spalding aren’t used anyway.
I feel that not a lot of thought went into the project beforehand.

They don’t deserve to have good staff
I would like to reply to the letter by Colin Ayres of Spalding about applying for jobs without getting an answer.
My 18-year-old grandson has applied for lots of jobs and put CVs in loads of shops and online as well, and, like Colin said, they cannot event be bothered to answer.
I agree with all he said about being rude, ignorant and arrogant.
They do not deserve good staff.
