Crowland businesses react to Covid-19 Plan B restrictions being dropped

Crowland businesses have reacted to the imminent lifting of Covid-19 restrictions.

Kevin Clow, who runs Crowland Family Butchers, says he will be doing away with masks as soon as possible.

However, he admitted some customers may still be scared.

Yvonne South, deputy manager at Toggs ‘n’ Cloggs, said she doesn’t think mask rules should be lifted yet, which was a sentiment echoed by The Old Paper Shop manager Jane Bowman.

“If one of us gets Covid, then we have to close,” she said.

“We will just have to wait and see.”

One volunteer at the Crowland Cancer Fund charity shop voiced similar concerns.

“We have a lot of people who are older that come in here,” they said.

“I think everyone is pleased to go to the shops again, and they will.

“We will have to get back to normal at some point, but not at the moment.”
