Spalding firefighters called to Holbeach grassland blaze




Littering sparked a grass fire.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue say ‘carelessly discarded smoking materials’ caused a blaze which affected 30 metres of grassland in Holbeach.

Spalding firefighters were called to Cranmore Lane in Holbeach at around 5.50pm yesterday (Saturday, July 27).

Officers used two hose reel jets to put out the flames.
