A Long Sutton car park hosted a food and drink paradise for the town to start the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Kirsty and Anthony Bowen, of Three Counties Field Kitchen, Long Sutton, invited caterers and drink makers to Winfrey Park for Long Sutton Feast, which the couple described as a "micro-food and drink festival".

Disney characters Donald and Daisy Duck mingled with families as they sampled pulled pork from Smokey's BBQ and Catering, of Long Sutton, gin made by Norfolk-based Whatahoot! and vegan recipes prepared by The 3 Witches Catering Company, of Pinchbeck.

Kirsty said: "When Anthony and I lived in London, we used to have a foodie event in a car park once a month when a selection of traders would bring hot food, wine, beer and cupcakes.

"So we talked about doing a Long Sutton Feast here, but we didn't realise how big it was going to be.

"For such a small event, and considering the dreadful weather we had, it went really well and there was a really good turnout.

"Lots of people came to have a bite to eat, a drink and go around the stands.

"We had Desserts R Us ice cream from Peterborough, Smokey's BBQ, 3 Witches with their vegan and vegetarian dishes and a maker of hot gins.

"There was lots of positive feedback from people who turned out in the pouring rain and we're in talks with some of the traders about doing it again."
