Lorry ends up in ditch on ‘lethal’ Spalding area road




A lorry ended up in a ditch earlier today (Tuesday, July 1).

Police received reports of the incident in Fulney Drove, on the outskirts of Spading, at around 9.20am.

The lorry is reported to be a Lincolnshire County Council truck

A spokesman said: “A lorry left the road and came to rest in a ditch. No one was injured and the road was not blocked.”

South Holland district councillor Anthony Casson has expressed concerns about the state of Fulney Drove - describing the camber as ‘lethal’.

Coun Casson said: “It is so dangerous that someone might be killed down there.

“It’s that bad even a county council lorry can’t cope with it.”
