A17 closed between Terrington St Clement and Walpole Cross Keys after lorry ends up in ditch

A person has been taken to hospital following a collision where a lorry ended up in a ditch earlier today.

It happened on the A17 near to the junction from Moat Road to Market Lane between Terrington St Clement and Walpole Cross Keys.

Officers have closed the road while the lorry is being recovered.

Police have confirmed that one person has been taken to hospital as a precaution after the crash.

It happened at around 9.18am and officers are advising motorists to avoid the area while the lorry is being recovered.

The AA road traffic map shows severe congestion in the area.
