The Vista Hall in Spalding will play host to the Creative Makers Market




Talented local entreprenuers will see their handmade goods showcased at a new event.

The Creative Makers Market event will be held at The Vista Hall in Spalding on Sunday, August 27.

Organiser Megan McCarthy (28), who owns Fauna Rose, said: “Our aim is to create opportunities for small businesses, creators and makers to showcase their work while connecting with locals and potential customers while hosting a fun and free event for the community.

“We also aim to help spread the word online for the creative community too by sharing their work across social media sites.”

The event will run from 10am until 2pm featuring 21 small business members with stalls including Air’s Originals, Little Joys, Bella and Archie Studio, Honest To Goodness, Matilda and Me, Elizabeth Nutbrown Jewellery, Prints By Milly.

From cakes to art there promises to be something for everyone.

Miss McCarthy, who is originally from Manchester and now lives in Pinchbeck, makes hair scrunchies and Macramé wristlets, said: “I have always been creative and this is what I want to do and where I want to be.

“I love events and going along with my small business Fauna Rose and I wish there were more events and more opportunities for creators.

“The event is free and I like listening to other people and what they think works.

“It is eco-friendly with as little waste as possible and it is amazing what items can be made.”

A future craft event is also planned at The Centre, Elsea Park in Bourne on November 25 from 10am-3pm.
