Spalding Creative Makers Market event held at The Vista
A range of small businesses and makers showcased their talents at The Vista in Spalding.
The Creative Maker’s Market featured stalls for artisans to sell their homemade items and liaise with each other in a business network.
Visitors were able to buy a range of goodies from candles to unique embroidered decor and sweet treats.
Organiser Megan McCarthy, pictured with Alex Cox, said: “It went really well, it was a great day but went really quickly.
“It was a really nice environment and such a lovely day with 23 stalls altogether.
“The feedback was great and it was lovely to speak to people – some market goers travelled two hours to come.”
The event gives the opportunity for small independents, creatives and makers to sell their goods not just online but in person.
Miss McCarthy added: “Everyone has a different story, background , experience and advice so we can always learn things.
“It is good to meet people in person and get their ideas – it is also free so it is good for the community.”
Stall holders were able to contribute food and toiletries to the Bourne Foodbank following the event.
A future craft event is also planned at The Centre, Elsea Park in Bourne on November 25 from 10am-3pm.
