Pinchbeck man admits to making more than 1,000 indecent images
A man has admitted making more than 1,000 indecent images of a child.
Pinchbeck resident Thomas Gallagher, 23, pleaded guilty to three charges when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (July 9).
Prosecutor Nick Kirkland said police became aware of images appearing on the Kik messaging service with the user name associated to the defendant.
Mr Kirkland told the court the victim was believed to be in their teens, although below the legal age of consent, adding the images were both photographs and video.
Gallagher pleaded guilty to making 72 Category A - the most serious - images, 69 Category B images and 966 category C images.
Defending Gallagher, Iona Hanrahan said he client suffered from autism.
She requested the case be postponed for the probation service to carry out a pre-sentence report.
Magistrates agreed and Gallagher, of Wardentree Lane, will return to court on August 6.
He was released on unconditional bail.
