Man arrested following assault investigation into woman's serious injuries in Bourne is released on police bail




The man arrested following serious injuries suffered by a woman in her 50s has been released on bail.

The woman was found at Church View, Bourne in the early hours of Monday morning with a brain bleed, a fracture to her nose and injuries to her knee.

A 51-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, and he has now been released on police bail.

Lincolnshire Police investigations into a possible assault are ongoing - and they continue to appeal for dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage, or CCTV of the area and surrounding streets between around 2.30am to 3.15am on August 15.

The woman is being treated in hospital for her injuries, and is believed to have been in the Red Lion Pub on South Road, Bourne earlier that night.
