Arrest after Spalding police pursuit
A man has been charged with a string of offences following a pursuit in Spalding.
Tracy Hercules (22), of no fixed address, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, possession of cannabis and possession of an imitation firearm.
The charges came after a police officer pursued a silver Mercedes Benz on blue lights at around noon on Tuesday after the driver appeared to act suspiciously on seeing his car.
It appeared that the driver of the vehicle was trying to evade the police car by speeding off.
The pursuit was along the A16 at Surfleet in Spalding and continued to the Hop Pole area. A police armed response vehicle aattended and a stinger device was used to stop the vehicle.
Hercules, who was uninjured, was arrested after a search located an imitation firearm and cannabis in the car.
He appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on March 9 and has been released on bail until his next court hearing on a date yet to be fixed.
