Long Sutton man charged with 10 sexual crimes involving underage girl

A man charged with 10 sexual crimes involving an underage girl has appeared in court.

Lee Merrison, 34, entered no plea when the alleged offences were read out before him on Wednesday (November 20).

The Long Sutton resident has been accused of four charges of sexual assault on a female, four charges of engaging in sexual communications with a child and two charges of exposure.

The charges all involve one complainant and span between June 28, 2020 and December 1, 2023.

Due to the severity of the charges, Boston Magistrates passed the case on to Lincoln Crown Court.

Merrison, of Delph Road, has been bailed to appear there on December 18.

Conditions include having no contact with his accuser - who cannot be named for legal reasons - and another woman.

He must also not have unsupervised contact with anyone aged under the age of 18.
