Man charged with murdering Colette Law in Spalding has appeared in Lincoln Crown Court
A man charged with murdering a woman who was found dead in a Spalding churchyard has today (Friday) appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.
The body of Colette Law, 26, from Greenock, Scotland, was found in a tent pitched outside St Mary and St Nicolas Church, in Spalding, on July 17.
Paul Neilson, 30, of Priory Road, Spalding, was charged with the murder of Miss Law on July 10 this year.
Wearing a grey jumper and grey jogging bottoms, Neilson today appeared at Lincoln Crown Court via a video-link from custody.
No pleas were entered and Neilson spoke only to confirm his name.
Judge Simon Hirst adjourned the case for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on December 8.
A provisional trial date has been set for January 22 at Lincoln Crown Court.
Neilson, who was represented by defence barrister John McNally, was remanded back into custody by Judge Hirst.
The Crown Prosecution Service were represented by Andrew Fitch-Holland.
Lincolnshire Police have previously appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward, including anyone who may have witnessed an argument between a man and woman in Spalding on July 10.
