Whaplode Drove man denies 12 sexual offences towards children




A man has denied 12 sexual offences towards children.

Stephen Daubney (56), of Chapelgate, Whaplode Drove, appeared in Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and has been sent for trial at crown court.

He was released from the hearing on conditional bail.

Mr Daubney is accused of:

- Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child between December 26, 2021, and January 10, 2022, in Essex

- Attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sex offence between December 26, 2021, and January 10, 2022, in Essex

- Made two indecent photographs of a child (category B) on January 10 in Essex

- Made two indecent photographs of a child (category C) on January 10 in Essex

- Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child between December 20, 2021 and January 8, 2022, in Essex

- Cause or incite a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity between December 20 and 22, 2021, in Essex

- Attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child between December 20 and 22, 2021, in Essex

- Attempt to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to watch/look at an image of sexual activity between December 11 and 26, 2021, in Essex

- Attempt to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to watch/look at an image of sexual activity between December 26, 2021, and January 10, 2022, in Essex

- Attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child between December 11 and 26, 2021, in Essex

- Attempt to cause a 13-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity between November 11, 2021, and December 26, 2021.
