Crowland incident - man shot at with paintball gun on A16
Police are looking for a man who fired a paintball gun at a motorist in Crowland, injuring him in the face.
It happened on the A16 yesterday (Thursday, December 3) when a 31-year old man was driving towards Spalding in a white Ford Ranger that was towing a caravan.
The man reported the attack to Lincolnshire Police shortly before 9.40pm and a spokesman said: "The motorist believed he was being followed by a silver Volkswagen Golf and pulled into the first layby on the A16 after the junction with Crowland.
"A man fired a paintball gun at the victim, which struck him through his open window, causing a swelling injury to his face.
"The victim continued on his journey, turning off the A16 and onto Hulls Drove when he realised he was again being followed by the same car.
"Projectiles were then thrown at his windscreen, front grill and bonnet.
"Both the driver-side and passenger-side windows were smashed as a result of this."
