Spalding man spends birthday denying drug possession charge

A man spent the morning of his birthday in court - denying a charge of drug possession.

Steve Stone entered a not guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates on Wednesday (March 12).

The 28-year-old denied the charge of cannabis possession, alleged to have taken place in Spalding on October 15 of last year.

When the court asked Stone to confirm his date of birth he responded ‘today’.

He will return to Boston Magistrates’ Court for trial on May 23.

Stone, of London Road, Spalding, was granted unconditional bail.
