Man suffered serious injuries in crash on A17 at Gedney

An elderly man suffered serious injuries following a crash.

A black Vauxhall Zafira and a black Ford Ranger were involved in a collision which happened at the Churchgate junction, Gedney, with the A17 at 3.40pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 20).

Police had closed the A17 around that area for several hours following the incident.

A spokesman said: “A man in his 80s, who was travelling in the Zafira, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

“We are now seeking additional information and asking anyone who saw the incident to come forward.”

There was also a separate collision involving a lorry and a car further along the A17 on the outskirts of Holbeach yesterday afternoon.
