Spalding man to stand trial for historic sexual offences
A man who denies historic sex offences against two children will go on trial in June.
Mark Street, 50, of Akita Close, Spalding, today (Wednesday) pleaded not guilty to eight sexual charges when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.
The charges include five offences of indecent assault relating to a girl under the age of 16 which are alleged to have taken place between August 1998 and August 2001.
Street also denied a single charge of sexual assault on child under the age of 13 between August 2016 and August 2019.
He also pleaded not guilty to a single charge of exposure and one offence of voyeurism.
Both charges are alleged to have happened between August 2007 and August 2008.
Judge James House KC adjourned the case for a trial beginning at Lincoln Crown Court on June 23.
The trial is expected to last five days.
Street was granted bail on condition he must not contact children under the age of 18, not contact the complainants and not attend locations where the complainants may be known to be.
Judge House told Street: "I am adjourning your case for trial. It is fixed for 23 June."
