The award celebrates those schools whose dedication, innovation and hard work are making a real difference for their pupils and their communities – and managing partner Mark Hildred is acutely aware of the results of the wonderful education on offer in our area.

He said: “It is obviously very important for us to support schools in our area as we heavily rely on local people within our firm. Moore Thompson is deeply rooted in the communities that we serve, and our firm has always been proud and pleased to support many different local schools.

“This support is a prime example of our commitment to preparing and training the next generation of professionals in the region and beyond. We recruit a number of students from the local area from all of the different schools and colleges into our training scheme and have watched those employees grow from strength to strength with us.

“From our own experience, we have seen these fantastic young people and members of staff go on to achieve prestigious qualifications and enjoy excellent careers in accountancy.”

The firm has continually been impressed by the standard of the young people who have walked through its doors and is committed to celebrating the success of schools, staff and pupils through the Education Awards. Having previously sponsored a range of categories at the awards over the years, Moore Thompson is proud to be sponsoring the Primary School of the Year award this year.

After what has undeniably been a year like no other for our schools, students and staff, the team at Moore Thompson agrees that it is even more important to highlight and celebrate their achievements.

Mark added: “At Moore Thompson, we think it is important to highlight those local students, staff and schools who have gone above and beyond and who have bright futures ahead of them.

“The last year has been an incredibly challenging time for schools and the children that they teach, with many being forced to adopt online learning at a rapid pace, with the support of many working parents. That is why it is more important than ever for us to recognise everyone involved.

“These awards do just that, recognising some of the area’s best pupils, students, teachers and support staff. They offer us an excellent opportunity to share in the region’s success. We are incredibly proud to be sponsoring the Primary School of the Year category at these prestigious Education Awards.”

Throughout the ceremony, on July 8, a variety of achievements and people will be recognised, from inspirational teachers, exceptional students and contributions to the community.

“We are very much looking forward to attending the ceremony and I wish all of the nominees the best of luck for the night,” said Mark.
