Vintage tractors raised more than a £1,000 on charity road run in Holbeach area
Vintage tractor enthusiasts had fun raising more than a thousand pounds for the air ambulance by taking their machines out on a road run.
A total of 53 tractors took part in the Sunday’s event, which had been organised by the Pearsall family and Hargrave Agricultural.
Owners ensured their classic tractors, such as a Super Dexta, John Deere and a ‘Little Grey Fergie’, were looking their best before setting out from Hargrave’s site on the Fleet Road Industrial Estate.
The route included Gedney, Gedney Dawsmere, Holbeach St Matthews, Holbeach Bank and Holbeach before returning to the industrial estate.
The event raised £1,377.75 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
One of the organisers was Christine Pearsall who was thrilled with the amount raised.
She said: “It makes all the difference to have raised that much money.
“I would like to thank all the farmers who allowed us to use their farm tracks and everyone who helped on the day.”
