More than 400 people attend music festival in Crowland
The fifth year of a music festival for people with disabilities has taken place with some 400 people attending.
Organised by Alyson Commons with husband Kevin and Rita Stacey, the Going Forward Music Festival took place at South View Community Primary School, Crowland on Saturday.
Mrs Commons said: “There were five main acts on stage and a fun zone provided by Listers Boston Mini free of charge who also sponsored us. People enjoyed having their photos taken with the convertibles.
“The festival is to give people with disabilities, their families and carers, an opportunity, who might not usually be able to go to such an event.
“This is for everyone who are accepting of each other and it has grown year on year.
“We know what it is like for young people with disabilities on a day to day basis and to access this sort of thing.
“It is really nice to give something back to people and see smiles on their faces, it makes it all worthwhile.
Funds raised are earmarked for next year’s event.
