More than £7,000 shared out between three charities in honour of Pinchbeck’s Barbara Camps
More than £7,000 has been shared out between three charities.
Maureen Harvey, Julie Collins, Lisa Atkinson and Jan Whitbourn hosted a fundraiser on behalf of friend Barbara Camps, who recently retired from her role running the Pinchbeck Hub and Library.
And last week three cheques for £2,375 were presented to Lorraine Buckingham and Denise Vickers from Macmillan Cancer Support, Karen Gedney, the south east co-ordinator for St Barnabas Hospice and Lauren Alexander, the senior community fundraiser for Marie Curie’s east team.
Barbara wanted to show her appreciation to these good charities by raising as much money as she could for them.
Helping make the day a success were Helen and Ray Vaitkevicius from Lincs Dog Training Made Easy, who did a fabulous job by organising a dog show, with the help of amazing prizes from local organisations.
John Burns and Jason Rooke of Rookes Pet Products and other local businesses also added their support.
