New business to operate out of vacant former Spalding town-centre garage and car showroom site to

A vacant former town-centre garage and car showroom site will soon be filled.

The Select @ Taylors of Spalding Vauxhall dealership ceased trading at the end of October 2022, with director Tim Taylor saying rising costs and supply issues had seen the business reach ‘an inevitable point’.

Since then the Pinchbeck Road site has been unoccupied.

However, Peterborough-based 1 Stop Car Sales have confirmed to this paper that they will soon be operating from the premises.

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed but a sign outside the business says the company are looking to recruit a number of roles, including mechanics, sales, reception, prepper, vehicle painter, master technicians, MOT tester, parts advisor and valeter.
