Crowland youngsters enjoy new skate park
Youngsters are riding high after a £100,000 new skate park has been officially opened.
Crowland Parish Council has funded the new skate park in order to provide more facilities for young people in the town.
Two professional skaters officially opened the skate park, which is the result of five years of hard work.
Chair of the council's Amenities Committee Coun David Ringham was pleased to see so many young people at the opening ceremony.
He said: "We are very proud of this facility and everyone is delighted with it.
"It was nice to see so many children at the ceremony.
"The majority of children in Crowland are very good and that is why we are doing it."
Unfortunately, the skate park had been subjected to some vandalism with a sign being damaged and a nearby bench being thrown.
