Afterglow Tanning in Spalding launches new fat loss machine

Business owners have launched a new weight loss machine – saying it is the first of its kind in our area.

Afterglow Tanning, in Hall Place, Spalding organised a demonstration at the weekend for 20 guests to test out its ‘Quad Ultra’ machine, which customers will be able to book towards the end of this week.

Lynne Thorne, who is the joint owner of the family run business, said: “We are very excited, I think its nice to just offer something different. A lot of salons do the same things but we are trying to focus on treatments which we know help with weight loss and offer other health benefits.

“I believe we are the first in the area to offer this service and we have already had lots of online enquiries about it which is good.”

In one 30 minute treatment session, the Quad Ultra is said to be similar to performing 20,000 muscle crunches or squats. The equipment uses electromagnetic technology to eliminate stubborn fat and increase muscle mass.

Lynne said: “The new piece of equipment works on your abs, bum, thighs, triceps and biceps. We had a live demonstration where five guests had a go on the machine to show everyone how it would work and feel.

“The machine is great for new mums with muscle diastasis, which is where the muscles separate during pregnancy – there are scientific facts that this does help build those muscles.”

Afterglow Tanning also offers a range of other treatments including sunbeds, spray tans, teeth whitening and body shaping.
