Get involved as a patient in GP services

Patients of GP practices in South Holland are being urged to get involved in patient participation groups (PPGs).

Abbeyview Surgery Patient Participation Group, together with Abbeyview Surgery, are promoting the work of PPGs.

Abbeyview Surgery covers places including Crowland, Deeping St Nicholas, Cowbit, Moulton Chapel, Holbeach Drove, Shepeau Stow, Whaplode Drove, Gedney Hill and Weston Hills.

Abbeyview PPG chairman Sally Waltham said: "We work with Abbeyview Surgery to provide good GP services responsive to the needs of the local community.

"Our achievements are many and wide ranging.

"We are a friendly informal group and are seeking to widen the involvement in providing this support."

The group is this week organising a number of health related events to promote National Patient Participation Awareness Week.
