Pinchbeck tack shop is the Mane Attraction

An equestrian is hoping that her new tack shop will get the green light from other horse owners.

Gina Shepherd has opened Mane Attraction Equestrian Ltd, in Crewswell Close, Pinchbeck, and will be running this alongside her traffic management firm, Dream TM.

As the owner of eight horses, Mrs Shepherd understands the amount of expensive equipment needed by owners and wanted to provide an affordable option.

Among the wide variety of stock on offer, Mane Attraction supplies clothing, tack such as saddles, rugs and supplements and shampoos. There are also a number of secondhand items that people can buy.

Mrs Shepherd is delighted with the response to the shop from horse owners and equestrians in the area.

She said: "We have had a really positive response and the feedback we have had is really good.

"Our aim is to make sure everything is affordable and if they are buying a second hand rug, it is washed and waterproofed.

"It is nice to be working with equestrians as you get to meet some really nice people. Everyone has something in common, people love talking about their horses.

"It is nice to think that people can come here, have a chat and make new friendships."

Mane Attraction is also based around one of Mrs Shepherd's horses, Gracey-Mae.

Mrs Shepherd said: "She is such the kindest mare and there is not a bad bone in her body.

"We have had her for five years and she follows me around. She is the horse of a lifetime.

"At Christmas, we almost lost her as she swelled up with mastitis."
