No serious injuries following three-vehicle collision on A16 at Surfleet which saw two people taken to hospital, police confirm
Police have confirmed there were no serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision on the A16.
A motorist had to be cut from their vehicle and two people taken to hospital on Wednesday evening following the incident which took place at Surfleet.
A grey Volvo V40, a red VW Golf, and a grey Renault traffic van were involved and parts of the road had to be closed.
“An RTC (road traffic collision) was reported at 7.06pm on November 27 on the A16 near to Seas End Road and involved three vehicles,” a Lincolnshire Police statement explained.
“The road was blocked at the time but thankfully no one was seriously injured.
“The vehicles were recovered and the road reopened around 9.50pm.
“Two people were taken to hospital for treatment.”
Lincolnshire Fire & rescue also attended the scene.
A statement read: “Spalding Fire Station and Kirton Fire Station attended a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A16 near Pinchbeck,
“Crews used Holmatro (hydraulic rescue tools) to release one casualty and made vehicles safe using small tools.”
