NOSTALGIA: Holbeach martial arts and leg waxing in 2011

Members of a Holbeach martial arts club were showing off their skills 10 years ago ahead of launching a club in Spalding.

Storm UK had the chance to show potential members what they were all about in a demonstration at Polka Dot Academy in Spalding.

The club was open to children aged seven upwards and adults.

Holbeach man Nigel Robson had his legs waxed for charity ten years ago this week.

Nigel was persuaded to climb on to the treatment couch by wife Liz, assistant manager at the town’s Sue Ryder shop.

Generous shop customers donated more than £100 to watch the ‘Februhairy Day’ waxing, carried out by Beryl Tripp, of The Beauty Spot in Holbeach.
