Number trail to run after Spalding Flower Parade

Visitors to Spalding on the day of the parade will have plenty of fun to take part in.

Along with the long-awaited event, those in town on the day will have the chance to win £150.

Organiser Steve Timewell has arranged a Spalding Trail Competition which will see the town’s businesses get involved in the festivities.

There will be 20 ‘huge’ decorated numbers in windows for visitors to find.

The striking number structures will be made by Steve and decorated with flowers made by South Holland’s crafters.

He said: “Entrants will be able to download an entry form, free of charge.

“They then visit 20 local businesses where they will find a huge number in the window.

“The number will be constructed using hand knitted flowers, donated by crafters of Spalding.

“People will need to make a note of the numbers and submit their entry form.

“One lucky winner will be selected to win £150 in cash.”

The numbers will be on display on the morning of the parade and will remain only until Monday, May 15.

Entry forms will be available on the Flower Parade website www.spaldingflowerparade.org.uk

The competition has been kindly sponsored by Funked Up Vintage and Collectables of Baytree Garden Centre. Business owner David Carter said he was pleased to support the event and was happy he could help make it a success.
