Fresh plans for Royal British Legion site in Crowland
Plans for a child nursery and function hall have been re-submitted to South Holland District Council - including external and internal play areas.
The proposed change of use for the former Royal British Legion site on Chapel Street, Crowland, was previously given the thumbs up.
However, new plans have been drawn up and put forward for approval by Sovereign Properties.
The most recent plans want to flip the original design on its head, now wanting to use the northernmost hall as one large function hall.
The southerly rooms are now hoped to be separate nursery rooms - where applicants Sovereign Properties hope to build adjacent indoor and outdoor play areas.
The report stated: “The proposed development would slightly affect the building scale, with the removal of the existing asbestos cement profiled sheet roofing to the rear annexes to be replaced with slate tile roof at a 20 degree pitch.”
The new roof would be significantly lower than the existing one.
The function hall will be used out of nursery hours, freeing up spaces for vehicles.
