A total of 55 animals were rescued from a South Holland property following an operation by Lincolnshire Police, South Holland District Council and the RSPCA
More than 50 animals were rescued today during an operation in South Holland.
Police officers, local vets, the RSPCA and South Holland District Council were involved in the raid after concerns were raised about the welfare of animals at a property.
It is believed to have happened in the Spalding area.
A social media post put out by Lincolnshire Police’s Rural Crime Action Team stated: “We have executed a section 23 Animal Welfare Act warrant today in the South Holland area due to concerns around the welfare of animals within a property. If you are struggling to manage your pets please reach out and seek help from the relevant agencies.
“This involved multiple agencies including the RSPCA, South Holland District Council, local vets and local officers from Spalding police.
“As a result 55 animals have been surrendered into the care of the RSPCA. Ongoing support offered to the occupants.”
