Donington, Boston and Sleaford firefighters rescue one person from vehicle after A17 crash at Heckington




One person was rescued from a car following a crash earlier today.

Fire crews from three stations were called to the incident on the A17 near Heckington, at 9.43am this morning (Saturday, August 10).

Police had closed the road and warned motorists to avoid the area. It had reopened at 1.50pm.

Officers from Donington, Sleaford and Boston Fire Stations attended the incident.

A Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue social media post said: “Crews used small tools and HILTI saw to release one casualty from one of the vehicles and left casualty in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.”
