Outline homes plan agreed
Outline plans for 38 new homes in Gosberton were unanimously given the go-ahead by South Holland councillors.
The site is on the edge of the village, opposite the Grade II-listed Gosberton Baptist Church, and will have access from Spalding Road.
The land is surrounded by mature hedgerows on three boundaries and has a number of protected trees. It was recently used as agricultural land.
The permission was granted on the proviso that a Section 106 agreement will be entered into, which ensures 25 per cent of the 38 dwellings will be affordable homes and contributions are made to education and NHS healthcare provision.
