Pinchbeck East C of E primary academy, thank parents fundraising efforts for new playground facility
A school has created an ‘amazing’ new playground after parents rallied together to raise funds for the facility.
Pupils at Pinchbeck East Church of England Primary School were able to the new year in style - with the launch of a fantastic new playground.
Friends of the school and volunteers had spent two years fundraising to ensure that youngsters had a fantastic new facility - which was officially opened with a thank you event earlier this month.
Some of the fundraising events which were carried out by Friends of the School and volunteers, included school disco’s, Christmas markets, family race evenings and more.
Teeny Vayro, Head of School at Pinchbeck East, said: “Seeing the delighted faces of our pupils as they came back to school and saw the magnificent updates to their playground has been amazing.
“We cannot thank the Friends of School enough for their hard work and dedication in raising the funds for this marvellous resource, especially the grandparent who took the time to hand craft the beautiful furniture.”
During the summer holidays, the playgrounds received new markings, an addition of plants to attract butterflies and bees and handcrafted tables and benches which were made by one of the pupils grandparents.
Gavin Booth, CEO at Infinity Academies Trust, said: “The dedication and generosity of the community at Pinchbeck East is truly incredible, and an integral part of what makes this school such a special place. We hope pupils will enjoy this wonderful playground update for years to come.”
