Parts of a 200-home development in Frampton to be redesigned to increase number of plots
Parts of a 200-home development will be redesigned to increase the number of plots on the site.
Larkfleet Homes, now rebranded as Allison Homes, have been given the all clear to re-plot and redesign two areas of land at Middlegate Road West, Frampton.
Outline permission for the erection of up to 215 dwellings at development known as Frampton Gate was originally refused by Boston Borough Council but later allowed at appeal in 2017.
The authority have now given the applicant the green light to re-plan and re-design the housing layout within phases two and three, plus the provision of 13 additional units.
Phases two and three account for a total of 154 dwellings, with plans now for a total of 208 properties.
“This re-plan design seeks to alter the housing layout only,” the covering latter stated.
The site comprises more than 10 hectares of land on the northern edge of Kirton.
A BBC planning officer’s report concluded: “As identified, the principle of development, including dwellings, on this site has been well established through the previous consents.
“Given that this scheme, including the provision of 13 additional units, forms part of an existing residential scheme that has been previously approved, it is considered that the development is ‘necessary in such a location’.
“In terms of character and appearance, it is considered that the re-plan, re-design, change in house types and the provision of 13 additional dwellings would not impact upon the street scene and overall area.
“Furthermore, the development would not impact on neighbouring properties in terms of overlooking, overshadowing or dominance, in accordance with the policies set out in the Local Plan 2019.”
The council originally received 12 letters of objection for the development.
Reasons put forward by the public included concerns regarding privacy, highways safety, residential amenity issues and waste management problems.
