People escape without serious injury from crash at notorious A16 junction at Crowland
Police have confirmed that no-one was seriously injured in a crash on the A16 last night.
Officers attended a two-vehicle collision at Crowland at the staggered crossroads junction with the B1166 Hull’s Drove.
A spokesman said that the crash was reported to the force at 5.59pm and confirmed that those involved had escaped without serious harm.
This latest incident has prompted further comments about the safety at the junction — which many believe should have been a roundabout when the road was built.
Posting on Facebook, Karen Clare said: “This should have been a round about when it was built. It's a death trap trying to get across. How many more accidents have to happen here before the highways put it as it should have been?”
Lucy Jerwood added: “Death junction strikes again. This is where the money should have gone, putting in a new roundabout. Not messing around with Springfields roundabout!”
